Overview
Warren Lynn Wozencraft enlisted in Jackson, Mississippi. Wozencraft was a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve during the Vietnam War. He served from August 26, 1965 to May 20, 1970. He was part of the Military Assistant Command Vietnam Advisory Team 3. He fought two campaigns in Vietnam.
Military Assistance Command Vietnam Team 3 As the US was becoming more committed to the Vietnam War, the Military Assistance and Advisory Group for Vietnam, which had been established to provide military assistance to Vietnam, was disbanded in 1962 and replaced by the Military Assistance Command Vietnam. This group reorganized the advisory effort established by the MAAGV. The effort was separated into teams, in which military personnel were sent to Vietnam to advise the military established there. Under the U.S. Army Reserve, Warren Lynn Wozencraft was an advisor in the Military Assistance Command Team 3, a group of soldiers compiled in order to provide support to 1st Division of the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) headquartered in Hué and Thua Thien province, from 1969 to 1970. |
